Ultrafiltration-treated drinking water at a rural Cambodian school, installed and maintained by our local partners.
Each school system costs about $700 and serves about 200 to 300 students for about 10 years. Your $20 covers three of those children for more than 5 years: treated, tested, safe water every school day.
A simple gravity filter delivered and installed by our DR Congo partner PALPER in Goma, where cholera is a constant risk. Our first 10 filters now serve about 250 people.
No power and no chemicals: gravity pushes water through the filter. Your $80 covers the filter, buckets and parts, the truck from Kenya, and PALPER’s cost to build it and bring it to the community. Five households share each filter, and PALPER trains them to use and clean it so it keeps working for years. See the pilot results →
Your $500 pays a year of tuition and registration. Clean Water Help adds about $1,000 for books and a living stipend, so the student can study full time instead of working.
On top of your tuition gift, CWH adds books and supplies (about $100 a year) and a living stipend (about $900 a year), for a full scholarship of $1,500 a year. All five 2026 students already have sponsors, so new gifts fund their later years or the next students. Once your gift is matched to a student, we tell you their first name and program and send a progress update each semester. Anything more is shared only with the student’s permission. On request, we’ll arrange a virtual introduction by video where the connection allows; internet in Goma is unreliable, so it may be by email or WhatsApp instead.
A pipeline dug by hand already carries water to 3,500+ people in the Eastern Highlands. Your gift buys filters for its tap stands and helps bring safe water to about 5,000 more people.
Each filter unit sits at a tap stand and runs on the pressure the mountain provides, with no power or chemicals. A local plumber installs it, and PNG Safe Water, the new local nonprofit led by Philip Wayaki Bongi, looks after it. The full plan costs about $25,000 (estimate). See the project →
Our founders personally cover every administrative cost. We don’t want donations going to our organization or overhead, and we are able to pay that cost ourselves. These communities need it more than we do.
